With never ending action, there is boundless love. Li Weibo, Chairman of Glory Harvest Group, has donated a total of HKD 300,000 to the "Wu Zhi Xing 2013" charity walk fundraiser, becoming a "Diamond Sponsor" for the event. The "Wu Zhi Xing" charity walk is organized by the "Bridge to China Charitable Foundation", and calls on everyone to fully utilize their healthy bodies to collectively contribute to charity. Funds are allocated to remote and poor villages for construction of bridges. The donation from the chairman Li will help ensure the smooth launch of these charitable endeavors.
The "Bridge to China Charitable Foundation" was established in 2005 to address the issue of students in a poor village in North West China having difficulty crossing a river to get to school. The organization is a registered charity in Hong Kong, with a goal of encouraging university students and professionals in mainland China and Hong Kong to volunteer to help mainland destitute villages in the construction of bridges and other village infrastructure. Since 2007, the "Bridge to China Charitable Foundation" has completed 19 projects and assisted in 1 post-disaster reconstruction across 6 provinces including in Gansu, Yunnan, and Sichuan. Significant contribution has been made to the improvement of standards of living in these remote areas. The "Wu Zhi Xing 2013" event hopes to focus the power and caring hearts of colleges and all social circles to obtain charitable donations with the goal of improving standards of living in poor rural areas. It is work of momentous importance.
The "Wu Zhi Xing 2013" charity walk will be held on November 17 in Hong Kong. Participants will carry eco-bricks from Tsuen Wan Park to Bellagio. Chairman Li stated that Glory Harvest Group will organize company staff to participate in the charity walk event to plant the seeds of loving care, and to pass on a little warmth.
