On September 28th, 2012, the joint General Meeting of the Small Commodity Associations of both Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City and Mid-Autumn Festival party was held at the Futian Shangri-La Hotel. The Chairman of the Group, Mr. Li Weibo, was named permanent honorary president of the Guangdong Province (Shenzhen City) Small Commodity Association after donating 2.8 million yuan to support the development of the association. 

In his speech, Mr. Li Weibo described the past, present, and future development of the Small Commodity Associations of Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City. He said that, as a civil organization focused on the commodity industry not just within the province but also abroad, the Association should take the initiative in adapting to the needs and development of the socialist market economy by making full use of its integrated resources, enhancing industry interaction and service awareness, and expanding the scope of their service abilities. He pointed out that the Small Commodity Association reflected the effectiveness and value of these key strengths, and how these would continue to enhance the attractiveness, cohesion and influence of the Association, as well as laying out his commitment to the ambitions of its members, developing entrepreneurship, improving communications, and making friends within the organization. 

The guests of honor included the Deputy Secretary-General of Shenzhen Municipal Government, Mr. Gao Guohui, the newly appointed President of Shenzhen Small Commodity Association Mr. Wen Jialong, a number of other senior trade association figures, more than 250 members from Guangdong Province Commodity Association, as well as representatives of all major banks. These prominent guests were all invited to attend the gala dinner and watch the Mid-Autumn Festival performance.
