On August 17, 2012, Luohu District, Shenzhen held its first convention in recognition of charitable donations towards poverty relief. The convention commended residents of Luohu District from all walks of life who have made outstanding contributions in terms of charitable donations and helping the poor and needy. Awards were given for both individuals and corporations. Seven persons including Chairman of Glory Harvest Group Holdings Ltd Mr. Li Weibo, were awarded the honorary title of "Caring and Charitable Donor". 

This event was not just a convention to recognize people's contributions, but also a relay race of love and warmth. Chairman Li committed on the spot to donate a further 1 million yuan to charitable causes. This generosity provoked a warm response all round, and Chairman Li was widely praised by leaders present at all levels, and people from all walks of life.
