2010 Annual Meeting Oration

Dear all,

 

Good evening!

 

We are here tonight to celebrate the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010. In other words, we are approaching a brand new decade. 

 

Looking back, we should be proud that we have been working strenuously and courageously to made Vision Grande—a new tobacco packaging industry brand successfully listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. However, to ensure Vision Grande is staying strong in the capital market. Chairman Li decided to issue shares to Australian-based company Amcor, a global leader in the packaging industry.  As Chairman Li's operation and management concepts are significantly different from that of Amcor, Chairman Li had no alternatives but to sell all of his shares of Vision Grande. After leaving Vision Grande, Chairman Li planned to make a comeback by setting up a new company, which is the predecessor of Glory Harvest Group, to focus on China’s real estate, hospitality and mining industry. Glory Harvest is now doing well and the industries we have been invested in have witnessed a prosperity, which pays off the group’s hard work for years. Chairman Li once expressed his goal to expand his personal asset to over ten billion yuan at a seminar on corporate development philosophy held at Venice Hotel. Now there is no doubt that we have far surpass this goal. Driven by its core mining and real estate businesses, Glory Harvest’s total assets are expected to at least reach three hundred billion yuan. I believe that this goal will for sure be realized in the near future under the leadership of the management team and the unremitting efforts by our staff .

 

I’d like to share Chairman Li's management concepts with you. He really appreciates Jack Welch's corporate management style. A company’s growth and successfulness is bound to following factors: energetic teams,  sophisticated incentive mechanism, efficient decision-making, power of execution and passion. Therefore, I hope we could all work unitedly to apply these management concepts to develop our group.

 

Finally, I hope we all make joint efforts to follow the corporate culture of frankness and openness, seek common development and create a better future.
