June 5th, 2013: the award ceremonies for the “Outstanding Enterprise Leadership Award”, “Outstanding Chinese Personality” badge of distinction, and the “US Presidential Public Service Award” were jointly held by the Golden Era Chinese Association, the Chinese Welfare Organization, the International American University and the Hong Kong Commercial Council as part of the graduation ceremony for the American International University at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Glory Harvest Group Chairman Mr. Li Weibo was awarded the Chinese Welfare Organization’s "2013 Outstanding Chinese Personality" badge, as well as the "US Presidential Public Service Award", personally signed by the President of the United States himself. He was also honored as Professor Emeritus at the International American University.

It is understood that any recipient of the "Outstanding Chinese Personality" badge of distinction must have received this honor not only as a result of exceptional achievements throughout his or her career, but also through a genuine spirit of public welfare. It is only awarded to those who enjoy a high reputation in the community, who are willing to make a contribution to the Chinese people, and who also bring honor to their respective regions, after a process of rigorous evaluation by the Association. Former luminaries awarded this distinction have included such names as Tsang Hin-chi, Xu Zhiming, Stanley HO Hung Sun, and Lee Shau-kee. The "US Presidential Public Service Award" was instituted by the United States government in order to promote public welfare activities in various regions throughout the world, and is personally issued by the President of the United States.

Spreading the love wherever he goes. Whilst building up his business empire, Chairman Li Weibo has always upheld the spirit of "where others suffer, I suffer as well", by regularly contributing to charitable causes and promoting social responsibility. Over the years, Li Weibo has made donations to the Shenzhen Graduate School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (30 million Hong Kong dollars), the Mainland Students Scholarship Program at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (1.5 million Hong Kong dollars), the Yan Chai Hospital Emergency Assistance Fund (4 million Hong Kong dollars), the Wenchuan Earthquake Relief Fund (1 million yuan), the Shanghai Cherished Dream Foundation (1.7 million yuan), and the Shenzhen Luohu District Impoverished Citizens Fund (1 million yuan) among many other projects - boundless care and love!

In the same way he was successful in his career, Mr. Li Weibo has always been actively committed to social welfare activities, thus gaining the respect and admiration of the community at large. Mr. Li said the award was not only a great honor, but also a responsibility and a driving force to strive for even greater good. In the future he will continue with his spirit of ‘giving back to society’ by contributing to social welfare projects, and also by encouraging others to participate wherever possible.
