On November 17, 2013, coinciding with International Student Day, Group Chairman Li Weibo led more than 30 Glory Harvest employees from Shenzhen and Hong Kong and their families in the third Hong Kong interdistrict charity walk “Endless Walk 2013” organized by the "Endless Bridge Charitable Foundation".
Hong Kong Chief Secretary for Administration and Endless Bridge Honorary Consultant Mrs. Carrie Lam officiated at the start of the walk, and opened the ceremony together with Chairman Li Weibo and officials or representatives from Hong Kong University, High Schools, Scientific Schools and 13 other institutions. After the activities began, the Glory Harvest employee team members and the leaders, teachers and students from those 13 institutions, joined with business people and local citizens to make a group of around 1,000 people. Following the example of the story of “Bricklayer Tao Kan” with passionate enthusiasm, eachperson took one brick and walked from Tsuen Wan Park in Hong Kong to Bellagio, a dstance of nearly seven kilometers.
The “Endless Walk 2013” main theme was “Peers in carrying bricks, Helping others to build bridges”. It is designed to call people to personally join together in charity. They are working to raise money to build roads and pave bridges in impoverished rural villages in the mainland. With perseverance our dreams can be reached, and the spirit of the never-ending bridge can be passed on.
It is understood that the event raised a total of nearly 1.2 million Hong Kong dollars for charity. Out of this sum, Chairman Li helped raise HK $ 300,000 in the name of the Group, becoming the event's "Diamond Sponsor".
