From November 8th to 10th, Michael F. Collins, chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, was at Glory Harvest Group for a three-day fact-finding and exchange visit. He was accompanied by Mr. Brendan H. Chisholm, vice chancellor of the Medical School, and Guangping Gao, professor of the Medical School and director of the Horae Gene Therapy Center.
As chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Mr. Collins is fully responsible for the Health Sciences department and the investment portfolios for the University. During his visit, he expressed his appreciation of Chairman Li Weibo for donating more than US$10 million to the Li Weibo Institute for Rare Disease Research at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. In addition, he had in-depth discussions with the Glory Harvest Group and the government of Luohu District, covering such issues as biotechnology and life sciences.
